sorority sunday: bid day!

KristenComment

shirt (i don't know, i'm sorry!). leggings. sneakers

Happy Sunday! This was the outfit I wore to my sorority's Bid Day about a month ago! Bid Day is great because it's the beginning of New Member Education, which is my job :') I love getting to know all my new sisters and taking lots of adorable pictures and Boomerangs.

Only a few of us have this shirt because we got it when we founded the sorority. I feel so vintage when I wear it! Normally I don't wear pastels like light blue and pale pink, but I love this shirt anyway. It's so comfy, and looks great with leggings and white Converse.

I used to wear my hair half-up-half-down a lot last year, and I haven't in a while for some reason. I put it up like this because my hair was super dirty and I didn't have time to shower. This is one perfect dirty hair look, and it suits my personality really well! I should wear my hair like this more.

My makeup was pretty simple, just some foundation with light eyeshadow and mascara. Less makeup looks better with a bright shirt like this! Stay tuned for more sorority looks coming your way!

turtleneck (similar). flannel. leggings. boots. lipgloss (in sanctuary).

New flannel alert! This one isn't a hand-me-down, but it's not a women's flannel. My parents know me too well. For Christmas, they searched for a Harley Davidson big men's flannel that I'd like, and they chose the perfect one :') Aren't they the best? For those of you who are new here, I've grown up in a Harley Davidson family, and I wear their merchandise with pride.

You can only kinda see it in the pictures, but one side of the flannel has the Harley Davidson shield. It also says "Harley Davidson" across the upper back, which is super badass. Even though this flannel isn't old or worn, it's actually really soft and comfortable. I really love wearing it! I also really love the color. I have another red flannel, but it's really bright. This is more chill and muted.

The color goes with my Kat Von D lipstick perfectly! Ah, my Everlasting Liquid Lipstick, love of my life. Because these two colors existed perfectly together, I decided on muting the rest of my look. I wore a black turtleneck, black leggings, and black boots. I think this really let the two maroon colors pop and play off each other really well. And as a bonus, I was really comfortable.

Happy Monday! I really love this look, mostly because it's so comfy, but also because it's super chill. Now that it's starting to to get a wee bit warner, I'm gradually transitioning into wearing more spring-y clothes. It may be wishful thinking, but I don't care! The sun was shining!

These pajama pants are so comfortable. One morning last year, I decided they were comfy enough to wear to class! They can actually pass as normal pants depending on how they're styled. I've found that they look best when the rest of the look is relatively simple, and black and white.

For this look, I decided to pair these pants with a simple black tank. I also threw on a simple, grey flannel just in case it got a little chilly throughout the day. It's that lovely type of year when your outfit can be great for outdoors, but horrible for indoors. I'm so sick of having to rip off layers of warm clothes because I'm sweating like a pig as soon as I get to class!

Continuing with the theme of chill simplicity, I topped this look off with some straight hair, black Converse, and INDI by Katy Perry. I don't know if any of you have smelled INDI yet, but you're really missing out! INDI is Katy's newest scent, and it's one of my favorites. It really is different and unique. Find a way to get your hands on a bottle ASAP! Overall though, I was so comfy throughout the day and I'm so excited to be able to wear outfits like this regularly again!

jersey (i don't know i'm sorry!). turtleneck (similar). leggings. boots. perfume

Everyone has those days when they search through their full closet and feel like they have nothing to wear. I had one of those days last year, so one of my suitemates gave me his San José Sharks jersey. I ended up loving it and wearing it all the time. I'm surprised I haven't posted about it until now! I actually got a boy's number on the T because I was wearing this jersey. He thought I was from California like him, and I'm not, but I got a boyfriend out of it! Thanks, Sharks!

I like wearing this jersey when its cold because it's surprisingly warm. All the patches make the jersey kind of heavy. It's fine when I wear it alone, but on colder days like today, I wear my turtleneck underneath and it still looks good. I wore my heavy, fleece-lined leggings, and my new Timberlands! I still need to make a post worshipping the two pairs of boots I just got for Christmas.

And, I wore one of Katy Perry's perfumes, Killer Queen: Royal Revolution. For those of you who are familiar with the rest of Katy's fragrances, this one is like a mix of Killer Queen and Purr. I really love it! Lately, I've been wearing INDI, but I decided to switch it up a bit. Overall, I was super comfortable and warm today. I'm happy I could finally share this jersey with you all!

origins pore perfecting cooling primer with willowherb

Cruelty-Free, Beauty, Beauty Review, SponsoredKristenComment

I have a fun product for you all today! Origins sent me some of their new Pore Perfecting Cooling Primer with Willowherb to review. Before you keep reading, I have to warn that Origins gets a little weird on the cruelty-free scale. While they don't test their products on animals in America, they do test where required by law, which means their products sold in China are not cruelty-free. However, their website states that they're partners with the Institute for In Vitro Sciences, which aims to end animal testing everywhere, which I think is pretty cool. I'm a fan!

I actually really love using this primer. My favorite part of it is that it smells like grapefruit! It honestly makes such a difference when I get ready in the morning. I get this fresh burst on my skin, and I feel like I'm glowing!

I'm not gonna lie, I was a little scared when I opened my package and saw the top. The primer has an interesting texture. It's kind of foamy, but fairly dense. Sometimes it's weird because I feel like I'm putting mousse or some haircare product on my face, but like I said before, putting this on in the morning wakes me up and kickstarts my day. It's a cooling primer, and you feel it literally as soon as you put it on.

My skin has also looked great since I started using this primer. I didn't break out or anything, which surprised me because my face can get temperamental sometimes. My pores have looked great, and like I said before, I feel like I'm glowing! It's probably because Origins is a really natural company. All their ingredients are non-toxic and high quality. Their products are formulated without phthalates, parabens, DEA, paraffin, propylene glycol, petrolatum, mineral oil, animal ingredients, and polyethylene beads.

Another great thing about this primer is that it keeps your makeup looking great, which is why I originally started wearing primer in high school. I've been through a couple different primers since then, but this one is definitely up there! Since I've been using it, I've had to leave my makeup on overnight a couple times (I know I know), and it helps my makeup look flawless the next day. I get so many compliments!

Overall, I would definitely recommend this primer! It's a little pricey, but it is high quality. I have lots more makeup reviews coming for you guys, I can't wait!
