"vintage, super cute!"

tank top (my uncle's!). bralette. leggings. timberlands. sunglasses (similar).

It was warm last week! I wore a tank top! Well, it’s a huge tank top, but it doesn’t have sleeves! That’s a start! This is actually my uncle’s. He passed away this past summer, so I inherited a lot of his clothes. I wore my bralette underneath, which I especially needed because the sleeve openings are super low (which I love).

I wore my high-waisted leggings, and my lighter Timberlands. I basically looked like my uncle when he went to work, especially when he had long, brown hair like me. My makeup was super light, and I sea salt sprayed my hair! The combination of the tank top and natural hair and makeup keeps things casual and cute! I wore this to my friend’s dance show.

I feel like I say it every time, but I just can’t wait for more summer-y looks! It’s been cold for five months straight now and it’s getting annoying! Summer’s my favorite season. What’s yours? Comment below!

Hello my loves! Today’s look is super chill, and a little different from what I’ve been doing lately. For starters, my shirt isn’t black! Maroon and gray are gorgeous colors that I definitely don’t wear enough. This shirt is actually from the men’s department of Tilly’s, and it’s one of the softest, comfiest things I own. I also have it in navy! Of course, I stuck with my typical leggings, but instead of boots, I wore my white Converse. It was kinda weird being lower to the ground again! The sneakers really bring out the baseball-y vibes of the look. I’ve always loved how the maroon in these Converse match the maroon of the shirt.

In general, I was going for a laid-back, girl-next-door vibe. My makeup was really light (I actually more blush than usual and I really liked it!), and I left my hair in the messy pony I wear while I do my makeup. I haven’t worn my hair in a while, so this was a nice change.

I really do like switching things up and trying new things, but it’s always hard to break habits! I’m definitely happy I stepped out of my comfort zone even just a little.

In the spirit of mixing things up, I dare you to try something new today! Let me know how it goes in the comments!

flannel (my dad's!). bodysuit. leggings. converse. perfume

Another day, another flannel! I actually don’t think I’ve shared this one before, but it’s a good one, one of the originals. I don’t know why I don’t wear it more! It goes back to my lack of desire in my outfits, exhibited by everything else I’m wearing!

This look began with this adorable bodysuit my friend needed me to wear for a film shoot later on in the day. To save some time, I wore it with my high-waisted leggings and black Converse to a meeting I had in the morning.

Back when I first started The Clunkster, I would tuck my shirts in all the time. I love bodysuits! My style has definitely changed since then, but I should 100% incorporate more bodysuits into my looks. They’re so comfy, and they make my body look and feel good!

I didn’t do anything with my hair, and I left my face bare. This look would be really cute with a full face of makeup, but I also really like going makeup-free every once in a while.
What’s something in your closet you should wear more? Let me know in the comments!

cruelty-free beauty! e.l.f. beautifully bare foundation serum

Beauty, Beauty Review, Cruelty-FreeKristenComment

Happy weekend! Every now and then when I run out of things, I grab something new for fun, or because I can’t find what I wanted. This instance was a bit of both! While I was looking for the e.l.f. foundation I usually use, I came across e.l.f.’s Beautifully Bare Foundation Serum, which looked pretty cool. Based on the packaging, I figured it was just a mineral-based foundation that was also SPF 25. I had never used a serum before!

This was definitely different than what I thought it was. I don’t know exactly how to explain it, to be honest. It’s thinner and runnier than a BB or CC cream, which was a surprise! I guess you could compare it to a tinted moisturizer or something, but don’t take my word on that because I’ve never used one of those either (I have a lot to explore hehe). I tried using my Milk Dab and Blend Applicator and it literally slid right off, which disappointed me a bit because I freakin’ love using that thing. I’ve found that the best way to apply this serum is to just use your fingers.

Even though this formula is super thin, this serum actually does a great job of acting as a foundation. It blends really well, and keeps my face looking natural and glowy. I can’t use it on my lips because it absorbs really quickly, but in general the coverage is great.

Unfortunately, I can’t really tell if the mineral/serum part is kicking in. My face has been a bit dry because of the harsh northeastern winter, and I’ve been breaking out a bit near my temples. It could be the serum, the fact that I’m applying it with my fingers, or something completely different.

Overall though, I recommend using this serum if that’s the sort of thing you’re looking for. Take a look through the reviews on the product’s page, which I linked above. Some people love it, and some people hate it! I say give it a try.  I’d definitely use this for a lowkey event or a ten-minute makeup look, but maybe not every day. top. bralette. leggings. boots. perfume. lipgloss (in Sanctuary).

Happy Thursday! I’ve been waiting for the weekend for what seems like forever. It’s that wonderful time of year when all of my classes give me a ton of work at once. Thankfully, things will slow down a little after tomorrow.

I’m so excited to share this look with you guys! It’s one of my favorites. This Serengetee top is definitely one of my favorite things that I own, and I was so happy it was nice enough to wear it with my bralette on this particular day. I love the way their crop tops look with my high-waisted leggings!

To complete the look, I wore my darker Timbs, Kat Von D lipgloss, and Katy Perry Killer Queen perfume, because as I’ve mentioned in previous posts, I barely own any colors and I love to convey some darker vibes in my looks. I didn’t brush my hair, so it looked wavy and messy just how I like it.

I always talk about how your clothes should represent how you feel, and that you should always feel good in what you’re wearing. I feel so comfortable and myself in this look, and I ended up having an amazing day. When you feel good in what you’re wearing, you have a better outlook on the day, and you’re happier and more productive.

Kick some ass today, gorgeous!
