milani conceal and perfect 2-in-1 foundation and concealer

Hello, my lovelies! I’m back with another cruelty-free beauty review. I told you guys a while ago that I’m trying to think out of the box more and try some new things! This time around, I decided to check out Milani’s Conceal and Perfect 2-in-1 Foundation and Concealer. When I was researching cruelty-free foundations, this one came up a lot! People said it had a really great finish and amazing coverage.

I definitely agree that this foundation is great with coverage, but unfortunately, I wasn’t a huge fan of this formula. Obviously, coverage is essential with foundation, but I think because this is both a concealer and a foundation, the formula is super thick. I had a really hard time applying this evenly, so I didn’t get that flawless finish I read about.

This also wasn’t really my shade. There was a limited amount of shades at CVS, and the darker shade was too dark, so I went with this one, 00 Light Natural. Now that I’m looking at Milani’s website, I see that there are way more shades, and 00A Porcelain, which is Fair with Neutral Pink Undertone, would probably be better for me. This one made me look really yellow, most likely because it has a peach undertone. Maybe if I really needed the coverage, this would’ve looked better (even though this is considered light-to-medium coverage).

Overall, this foundation was just a little too thick, so my face looked really cakey and unnatural. Most of the time, I had a really hard time matching my face to my neck. If you’re looking for something full-coverage, definitely give this formula a try and let me know how you like it in the comments! It’s just not for me.

can you tell that i love this flannel

Happy Thursday! It’s almost the end of the week! Orientation has been awesome, but I’ve been insanely tired. I can’t wait for the weekend so I can sleep in a bit! Then in about a week, everyone starts to get back to Boston and back into the swing of the school year. I still can’t believe this is my last semester. We’re not gonna talk about it.

Here’s another, you guessed it, simple look! I vowed to wear this bodysuit more often, and I have been, so I’m happy I’m out here reaching my dreams and achieving my goals. I paired it with my denim shorts and blue flannel, which I love wearing together. I was just thinking today about how I often wear either big, bulky clothes that I get lost in, or relatively form-fitting, tight clothes. Most of the time, I’ll throw tight and loose items together to create looks like this. It’s just how I’m most comfortable, which makes me most happy!

Last but not least, I wore my white Converse and put my hair in a little low messy bun, which I’ve been wearing a lot more lately. It curls my hair really nicely when I take it out and I’m so about it.

Do you wear loose and big clothes, tight and small clothes, both, or something in between? Let me know in the comments!

Happy Tuesday, angels! I hope your weekend was fantastic. I just got back to Boston for my last Orientation! I can’t believe how fast my time at Emerson has gone. I feel so old. I’m excited to start getting back into the swing of this school year. I miss being busy and seeing all the people I love!

This look is another simple one featuring a top I don’t wear enough! I got it from my cousins, and it looks so great with my bralette. It’s another top that I can wear differently depending on how I drape it. It’s made of pretty thin material, so this is a great top for these hotter days.

I wore my black shorts and black Converse, and let my hair down. I also wore Killer Queen, one of my favorite fragrances from Katy Perry, and my wood sunglasses.

How did you spend your weekend? Let me know in the comments!

a simpler time

Hello hello hello! I hope everyone’s doing well. I’m back home on Long Island for a bit, and I’m having a blast! I didn’t realize how much I’d miss Long Island summers since this is the first one I spent in Boston, so it’s nice to come home and do typical Long Islander things and spend time with my family. I feel like I can move on from summer now.

Here’s yet another shirt I don’t wear enough! This color is so beautiful and unique. It looks like a sweatshirt, but the fabric is actually super thin, which is great in the hot weather that the east coast is suffering through. I wore my denim shorts and my black Converse to match my bralette.

I always hate when I don’t have a ton to say about a look, but this one is super simple! I always say that I need to wear more of what’s in my closet, so I’m happy I got to take this top out for a spin. I need to wear it more while the weather is still nice!

Where have you spent this summer? Let me know in the comments!

what season is it?

Happy Tuesday, cuties! I hope your weekend was absolutely fabulous. I can’t believe we’re almost halfway done with August! To be honest, I’m just about ready for the fall, my favorite season! It’s all about transitions, new beginnings, and my birthday ;) I’ll be twenty-one this year, so that’ll be a big change for me.

This is a good transitional look for that awkward time between summer and fall. These are my lighter leggings, which have been an actual lifesaver this summer. If you’ve been following me for a while, you know I love my leggings, but I usually wear a fleece-lined pair that I just can’t put up with in the summertime. These leggings are still pretty high-waisted, so I wore it with my bodysuit, which I always say I need to wear more, and I am!

I threw my hair in my usual top knot, and pulled everything together with my blue flannel and white Converse. I’ve been digging the all black clothes with white shoes combo lately.

What are you looking forward to in the fall?! Let me know in the comments!
