Happy Father's Day!

Outfit of the DayKristenComment

Happy Father's Day! I really love this look. My dad got me this shirt for Christmas, except I didn't get it until March because it took so long for it to ship! He gets super happy when I wear it, so I figured today would be the perfect occasion. Isn't it awesome? My dad and I bond over heavy metal and Star Wars, so there couldn't be a better shirt to represent our relationship.

I paired this masterpiece with my denim shorts and black Converse, to keep with the metal-y, rebellious vibes. I also threw a Sam Ash guitar pick into the flatlay because it was my uncle's, and unfortunately he passed away last week. This was my first Father's Day without him, but he's in my heart and I know he's with me!

To top it all off, I had a messy-haired, no-makeup vibe for the day. When I got cold, I threw on my dad's flannel. I figured it was fitting.

I hope everyone had a lovely Father's Day! Tell the men in your life you love them today. And if you don't have any father figures in your life, celebrate your ladies! You never need a reason to celebrate your ladies.

90's Kid

Outfit of the DayKristenComment

Shirt (no longer being sold at Urban Outfitters). Bralette. Leggings. Sneakers. Sunglasses (mine are lighter).

Only 90s kids will understand. My cousin gave me this shirt and I fell 100% in love with it as soon as it was in my hands. The pattern, fabric, cut, everything about it is perfect. I really feel like myself in it! It even has a secret pocket. Damn.

I wore this masterpiece of a shirt with my bralette, high-waisted leggings, Converse, and choker because I am me. But I honestly can't see me wearing this any other way. Now that summer is approaching, maybe I'll see how it looks with some jean shorts. Now if you'll excuse me, I'll be listening to *NSYNC on my walkman...

Fifty Shades

FIFTY SHADES: Top. Flannel (no longer being sold by Eddie Bauer). Shorts. Sneakers.

You know when you buy something, and you immediately picture all the ways you're gonna wear it? That's how I felt when I saw this sweater tank top thing. I had been seeing similar tops on Pinterest for the longest time, and I was so happy when I finally found this one at American Eagle. I knew that I wanted to tuck it in and wear it with some cute jean shorts and a flannel.

I've styled this top in many ways (which you'll all see soon, hehehe), and this one happened to have lots of shades of grey and black. It's very true to my aesthetic, in my opinion.

The other day I went shopping with my mom and bought a ton of new pieces, and I'm so excited for them to make lots of appearances on The Clunkster! Happy Summer, loves.

Sorority Sunday

Shirt (no longer being sold by Xi Gamma Nu but make a donation here anyway). Shorts. Bralette. Sneakers. Sunglasses

It's Sorority Sunday! This edition doesn't have any letters, but it's just as important to me. This past year, my sorority participated in a walk for the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation. To raise money, we sold these adorable t-shirts that I ended up turning into a tank top! Multiple Myeloma is a cancer formed by malignant plasma cells. One of the sisters in my sorority has been personally affected by it, and I'm so proud to say that Xi Gamma Nu was able to raise $5,800 in her mother's honor! This shirt represents how much my sisters support each other, and highlights one of the core values of Fraternity and Sorority Life that most people forget: Philanthropy!

I wore this tank with my new jean shorts, which I really love. They fit my butt perfectly, they're not too short, and they're not too long. I also wore my bralette and choker, as well as my white Converse to match the white and maroon aesthetic of the tank. This is really more of a lazy look for yet another hot day, which is why I'm not wearing makeup and have my hair in a very high top knot.

You Just Don't Understand

Sweater (no longer being sold at dELiA*s). Leggings. Sneakers. Lipgloss. Sunglasses (similar).

This is one of my favorite sweaters I've ever owned. My friend's mother called me "the cutest little badass" when I was wearing it one time, which I think suits me perfectly. I wore this out to a dinner that went horribly, so the darker tones definitely matched my vibe. I kept things on my bottom half simple, just leggings and Converse, but added my choker and vamp lip to really pull it all together. I felt like a high-fashion goth kid. "You just don't understand, Mom!"
