Outfit of the DayKristenComment

You all know how much I love Halsey (and if you don't, check out this, this, and this), so for Christmas, I asked for a TON of merch from her latest tour. I got to see her for the third time in Boston on October 6th, and it was one of the greatest shows I've ever seen. I also adore her latest album, Hopeless Fountain Kingdom, and the merch in her shop was just really freakin' cool. I was immediately obsessed with almost every piece.

This is one of the coolest tour shirts I've owned! I've never had a long-sleeved tour shirt before, and this one lists the dates down the arms instead of on the back, which I think is so unique and awesome. It leaves space for an awesome design on the back, that I totally should've taken a picture of. I love light, long-sleeved shirts like this. They're perfect for low-key looks like this!

These leggings are another Christmas addition! They're soooo comfortable. I love fleece-lined leggings because I live in the cold and I'm literally always in leggings (as you can tell from this blog), but sometimes they're just a little too heavy for the gym or Cheer practice. My mom got these from Francesca's, and they're super soft and fleece-lined, but not so fuzzy that I sweat. I really love them; the only drawback is that they're kinda see-through, so I have to be mindful of what underwear I wear with them!

I quite literally topped the look off with this "hopeless" hat from Halsey's store. Getting this hat to look good on me was a time. When I first put it on, it looked reeeeally weird on my head. The way the actual hat part was angled was just so different than a usual baseball hat. I sized it down to fit my small ass head, but it still looked kind of off. I was so upset because I love this hat! I sent a Snapchat to my sorority asking if they liked it or not, and God bless them, they told me to just bend the brim and it fixed it completely! That's why you rush, ladies. I'm still a little upset because I had to size it down so much that there's a weird strap flap on the back (say that ten times fast!), so it looks a little weird when I wear it backwards, but I could probably tuck it in.

My white Converse also made an appearance in this dark look! I don't know why I picked white over black; I didn't even really consider black. Sometimes things just look good for no reason.

Also, I was really proud of my makeup today. It's what I usually wear (with contour and eyeshadow now, hehe), but I took my time with it since I wasn't in too much of a rush and it just looked really good! I straightened my freshly-cut hair too, so I was just generally happy with how I looked today. As I always say, if you're wearing something that makes you feel good, then you will feel good!

Overall though, I think this is a really cute, laid-back look that I could definitely wear once it starts warming up! Oh Spring, where are you?!

Sorority Dad

In my last post, I talked about how Revelry is perfect because you can wear their pieces anywhere: at classy events or just when you go to the supermarket and wanna look cute! In this case, I wore my Revelry Quinn dress with just a Dad Hat... a literal Dad Hat. I haven't worn it in forever! I missed it so much.

I paired my dress with my white Converse to keep it chill, and my rounded sunglasses because they look adorable. I feel like this is the perfect thing to wear on vacation or over the summer, which I've been thinking about so much lately since it's super cold in Boston.

I can't wait to show you guys the rest of my Revelry pieces!

Wear the World... Thursday?

KristenComment

Yesterday was Wear the World Wednesday, but I was too busy to post yesterday, so I guess it’s Wear the World Thursday! This is my first post with one of my Serengetee items. I think I’ve posted this shirt on my Instagram before, but here’s an actual look to go with it.
I’ve told you all about what Serengetee is, but I figured I’d remind you all in relation to this shirt. Serengetee has a ton of fabrics and patterns that come from different areas of the world. This one, called Rio, is from Brazil! Every fabric also has a charity from that region attached to it. This fabric provides microloans to women entrepreneurs in Brazil, which I think is super cool. Whatever fabric you choose can be made into basically anything: hats, backpacks, bags, shirts, and more.

This shirt is one of the most comfy things I have ever put on my body. I felt like I was in a constant cuddle while I was wearing this. It’s perfect for a lazy day like this one! I wore it with my comfy leggings and my moccasins, since they’re basically like slippers. I threw on a hat because my hair looked like absolute shit. I was so comfortable today, holy shit.

Be sure to Follow Serengetee on Instagram!

Think Pink

Sweatshirt (I think Target maybe?). Jeans. Boots (no longer being told at Primark). Jacket (similar). Hat. Sunglasses (similar).

So, I guess this is a little bit of a Sorority Sunday. This morning, I participated with my sorority in the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk in Boston! I love participating in this walk because fighting breast cancer is extremely important to me, since my grandma died of it before I was born.

Obviously, I wanted to show my support for fighters through my outfit. I started with my black jeans, which were heavy, but I still wore stockings underneath since it was pretty chilly today and we were walking by the water. I wore a tank top, that I tucked into my jeans, and a Support the Cure sweatshirt that’s a little short on me, but it looks cute. I finished it off with my varsity jacket, which was nice and warm!

At first, I had my hair in my half-up-half-down look. However, when I put my beanie on to cover my ears and represent my ~school pride~, there was a weird bump on top of my head from my ponytail holder. I looked like a triceratops. So, I took my greasy hair down and hid it with my beanie. I completed my look with bright pink lipstick and my boots!

Frat Boy Barbie

Tank (no longer being sold at Urban Outfitters). Bralette. Shorts. Sneakers. Hat. Socks.

Tonight, I look like a frat boy, which is one of my favorite things to look like. I went to a luau themed party, so I wanted to look beachy. Logically, I dressed as a frat boy on Spring Break.

My friend left his beachy Where’s Waldo shirt at my suite last night, so I decided to steal it! I did a tight tuck today, into my short as shit shorts. I should do tighter tucks more often. I also wore my bralette under my shirt. Originally, I had on sparkly flip-flops (like in my closet selfie), but I realized that in order to really finish off the frat boy look, I needed to wear white shoes with black socks. I wore my Send Help hat backwards, in true frat boy fashion.

I feel like I kind of am a frat boy in my soul. I actually really liked this outfit, except if I wore it again I would obviously wear white socks, and I would probably ditch the hat. I love when costumes turn into actual inspiration!
